Exercise 3.1.22 Service Advisor not assigning Technicians using TechView

  1. Explain the best practice is to NOT assign Technicians in the POS until the workorder is converted to an invoice. Assign all technicians using the TVP for instant work assignment.

  2. On a workorder with Technicians assigned using the POS – have the SA change tech assignment several times using the POS.

  3. Show the SA how this requires many extra clicks and wastes time.

  4. Have the SA drag and drop the vehicle in techview and assign technicians. Point out how the change to technician assignment is instant and is reflected via the audible alert on the tablet.

  5. Monitor SA actions and workorders in the POS to ensure that SA’s are using TechView to assign technicians.
