Terry Sayther Automotive provides honest and reliable service. I have two BMWs of which both I have serviced there. They are not "inexpensive" but I know the work will be performed well and the issue will not again arise as a result of faulty workmanship. They are hones about what "really" needs to be done at the time and what can wait; this is very helpful as BMW maintenance is expensive and it is nice to have some time for planning and budgeting.

TSA is a great place. The work is high quality - they are professionals and know what they are doing. They are great explaining the problem and solution. They give you information so you know if/when to fix any issues and what's a priority. They are friendly and helpful. The only downside is (as with all BMWs) that if there's a problem, it can become pricey.

I always recommend your shop to every BMW person I meet, so that's a given. I say the work is definitive, authoritative and 100% honest; the record keeping is absolultely reliable (a big plus for me so I can keep track of everything that's done or waiting to be done). I think "real" BMW lovers go here--the passion the shop has for the car s totally obvious (this is big for people who feel strongly about a marque). I say it's a jumble of a shop but I say that as a plus-somehow it shows how much they care about the cars: the reputation coupled with the lack of creature comforts prove these people REALLY give a s**t about the cars themselves. I can't really explain the logic there but it makes sense to me.

a classic crusty grumpy old hippie, with a next gen hipster crew of shade tree mechanics, literally working out of doors in far south Austin. but don't let appearances fool you. they're smart, knowledgeable, hard working, and trustworthy. not the cheapest or most convenient to work with, but certainly the best value for quality BMW service in town.
