	Extra effort to resolve issues
Kenneth O. Santa Barbara, CA	I had a fuel injector replaced by Top Shop Automotive. I was given a verbal quote that the work would cost $180 for one fuel injector and $380 to replace all four. I asked for one to be replaced but the total cost came out to be $380. The employee at the desk was not very helpful and was generally indifferent to the fact that the cost was almost double that of the quote. To add insult to injury one of the fuel injector gaskets was seated improperly. I brought it in the next business day and had to argue with the store owner to get the car repaired immediately (wouldn't want an engine fire due to an improperly seated gasket). As it turns out there was some mistake made/confusion over the verbal quote (there was no hard copy) and the job was supposed to cost around $380 for one fuel injector. I was later contacted by the shop owner who offered to absorb the cost of the fuel injector as compensation for the mix-up and the hassle of having to bring the car back in due to faulty work and offered me a sincere apology. The end cost for me after the partial refund was $198.45, which is close to the original quote of $180. While I don't appreciate the hassle and lack of clarity in pricing I do appreciate the owner's willingness to make the extra effort to resolve the issue.
